Panacea Construction Group executed a comprehensive modernization and replacement of 17 existing elevators and the installation of one new elevator in an occupied healthcare environment, delivering full mechanical, electrical, architectural, and infection‑control‑compliant scopes that restored vertical transport reliability while minimizing patient and operations impact. The contract work included modernization or replacement of 10 passenger elevators, 5 freight elevators, and 2 SPS clean/dirty cart lifts; renovation of elevator cabs with new interior finishes, lighting, and finish carpentry; and complete replacement or upgrade of hoisting machines, motor assemblies, braking systems, rope tension assemblies, speed governors, car platforms, counterweights, guide shoes and guide rails, and buffers to meet current industry and VA performance standards. Panacea furnished and installed a new elevator bank that required rooftop and mechanical‑room tie‑ins, new machine curbs and supports, new electrical feeders and distribution for the drive assemblies, and architectural framing and finishes for the new shaft and lobby integrations, with all elevator equipment provided with emergency power per NFPA and VA requirements to ensure mission continuity during outages.
